Pediatric Orientation Program (POPs)

The Pediatric Orientation Program (POPs) field trip helps familiarize First Graders with various aspects of healthcare treatment from wellness habits to hospitalization. 

Students will come to the WK James K. Elrod Innovation Center for a tour of the Virtual Hospital, the Talbot Medical Museum, and participate in group activities.

Please plan to make your reservations in advance online at: (wkhs.com).  Classes will be available January to May.  Each time slot can host a max of 32 students, one class per 90-minute time slot. 

Please Note: TIMES LISTED CAN BE ALTERED ACCORDING TO SCHOOL NEEDS

• Online Pre-Registration is Required, Space is limited.
• Each teacher is expected to attend with their class to assist with discipline and activities.
• While we welcome parents, we ask that younger children not attend the field trip.
• The school is responsible for scheduling transportation.
